August 17th, 2017:

PMB Wheelchair Basketball Game

In this game our two teams were purple vs orange. Both colors had an enhanced meaning in the game.

Purple is the nations color for Domestic violence Awareness and orange is the color for Gun Violence Awareness.

This event also increased Disability and Adaptive Sports Awareness.

The turnout of this event was spectacular. It was very humbling to witness people of all ages and from all over the state of Virginia come together to embrace our message. This game would not have been possible without the support from SSIK "Stop Shooting Innocent Kids", Anigriv AdornCharlottesville Cardinals,

Virginia Beach Sunwheelers, SportableFruit Fixed, and the YMCA of Greater Richmond.

Protect My Brother is very thankful for the support from Thomas Dale High School for giving us the opportunity to have this event and spread PMB's message throughout our community. Thank you to everyone who supported the first Protect My Brother Wheelchair Basketball Game.
